Design and Cultural Heritage Research – Two New Invitation to Tenders Launched

Design Research

Creative & Cultural Skills, with funding from the Welsh Assembly Government’s Sector Priorities Fund Pilot programme is issuing an invitation to tender for research on skills issues within the design sector.

The research, entitled ‘Pathways to Design: Young People’s Entry to the Design Industry’, it will examine employer perceptions of entry routes into the design sector for young people aged 16-25.

The research will study the skills issues, barriers to take up and employer perceptions of the education system, to establish whether the education sector is catering correctly for different areas within the design industry.

Cultural Heritage Research

Creative & Cultural Skills, in partnership with English Heritage and with funding from the Welsh Government’s Sector Priorities Fund Pilot programme is issuing an invitation to tender for research on skills issues within the cultural heritage sector on behalf of the Historic Environment Forum (HEF).

The research, entitled ‘Surveying the Skills Needs of the Cultural Heritage Sector’ will inform future work by both Creative & Cultural Skills and English Heritage and other HEF members.

The research will look in-depth at skills issues affecting the cultural heritage sector in the UK, and examine the needs of both individual employees and organisations/businesses in the future.

The deadline for submitting applications for both tenders is the 25th March 2013 at 18:00. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview in the week commencing 1st April 2013.
